Notice of Prehearing Conferences

The Chief Engineer of the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Division of Water Resources will hold two prehearing conferences at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time) April 13, 2026, in the matters of the proposed Greater GMD4 and Sheridan 6 Local Enhanced Management Areas submitted by Northwest Kansas Groundwater Management District Number 4. The purpose of the prehearing conferences will be to select dates and locations for the public hearings regarding the proposed local enhanced management areas, to specify the procedures to be followed at the public hearings, to set any applicable deadlines, and to consider any other matters necessary for conducting the public hearings. The prehearing conferences will take place virtually via Zoom. The prehearing conference for the proposed Sheridan 6 Local Enhanced Management Area will begin at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time), and the prehearing conference for the proposed Greater GMD4 Local Enhanced Management Area will begin immediately following the conclusion of the prehearing conference for the proposed Sheridan 6 Local Enhanced Management Area.
