Notice to Bidders
Notice is hereby given for the receipt of subcontractor bids for the Kansas Department of Transportation District 1 Complex, Bid Package 3: Warehouse and Lab, Phase 1 project. This project is being delivered using procedures established under the Kansas alternate project delivery building construction procurement act (K.S.A 75-37,141 et seq.). Crossland Construction Company, Inc. is the Construction Manager (“Crossland Construction”).
Subcontractor bids will be received for the following scopes of work:
- General requirements
- Cast-In-Place concrete
- Sealed concrete
- Miscellaneous steel
- Metal fabrications
- Pipe and tube railings
- Miscellaneous rough carpentry
- Thermal insulation
- Standing seam metal roof panels
- Metal wall panels
- Sheet metal flashing and trim
- Roof accessories
- Snow guards
- Penetration firestopping
- Joint firestopping
- Joint sealants
- Expansion joints
- Hollow metal doors and frames
- Access doors and frames
- Sectional overhead doors
- FRP doors and frames
- Aluminum windows
- Door hardware
- Glazing
- Non-Structural metal framing
- Gypsum board
- Acoustical ceilings
- Fire sprinkler system
- Plumbing systems
- HVAC systems
- Electrical systems
- Communication systems

Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. (Central Time) January 22, 2026.
All bidders should advise of their intent to bid. All bidders should advise their intent to bid on BuildingConnected. Invitations to bid will be sent through BuildingConnected and iSF by the CMaR. This online system allows bidders to indicate their intent for bidding i.e. Undecided, Bidding, Not Bidding.
A copy of the bid documents will be available for review Bid documents will be available through online bid solicitation software BuildingConnected at https://www.buildingconnected.com and ISquare Foot https://projects.constructconnect.com. Any messages, addendum, notice of changes will be sent through this system. Please contact the project contact above to be added to the distribution list.
The following trade package bids must be submitted directly to the owner at professional.qualifications@ks.gov:
- Trade Package 3A – Building and site concrete
- Trade Package 5A – Structural and miscellaneous steel (furnish and erect)
- Trade Package 8A – Doors, frames, and hardware (furnish and install)
- Trade Package 10A – Specialties (furnish and install)
- Trade Package 12B – Architectural millwork (furnish and install)
- Trade Package 13A – Pre-Engineered metal building (furnish and erect)
Material only quotes for each of these trade packages can be submitted to Crossland Construction to be paired up with Crossland Labor.
