Notice to Bidders

Notice is hereby given for the receipt of subcontractor bids for the A-014813 University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) Cancer Center – Research Tower – Bid Package 05–Interior Fit-out Package. This project is being delivered using procedures established under the Kansas alternate project delivery building construction procurement act (K.S.A 75-37,141 et seq.) for KUMC. Subcontractor bids will be received for the following scopes of work:

  • Asphalt
  • Auto openers
  • Blinds and shades
  • Carpentry
  • Cleanrooms
  • Interior demolition
  • Doors/frames/hardware supply
  • Drywall and ACT
  • Electrical (CUP and Research Tower)
  • Environmental rooms
  • Epoxy flooring
  • Fire suppression
  • Fire rated coiling and folding doors
  • Firestopping and joint sealants
  • Flooring
  • Interior storefront/glazing
  • Lab casework
  • Lab equipment
  • Landscaping/irrigation
  • Building integration/low voltage
  • Mechanical and plumbing (CUP and Research Tower)
  • Painting
  • RF shielding
  • Terrazzo flooring
  • Floor and wall tile

Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. (Central Time) September 16, 2025, and are to be received by Building Connect or email at daniel.rezin@jedunn.com. Note: Bids for interior demolition, carpentry, and building integration/low voltage scopes of work are to be submitted to professional.qualifications@ks.gov.

All bidders must prequalify in JE Dunn’s Subcontractor Management System (SMS). Create or update company information by following directions at https://sms.jedunn.com.

All bidders should advise of their intent to bid. Email daniel.rezin@jedunn.com or confirm via Building Connect with intent to bid. An in-person pre-bid conference and walk will be held at 10:00 a.m. August 27, 2025, in Room G032 of the Lied Building at the KUMC Campus. Please reach out to daniel.rezin@jedunn.com with questions. Notification with parking instructions and location of the Lied Building will be sent out via Building Connect prior to the meeting.

All bidders shall comply with the requirements within the contract documents and front end, including all items within the scope of work and required bid form filled out. All bids for the demolition, carpentry, and building integration/low voltage scopes of work are to be sent to professional.qualifications@ks.gov. Bids for each one of those scopes must be submitted on their respective scope of work bid form and no combination bids will not be reviewed/accepted.
