Secretary Schwab Announces Completion of Post-Election Audit
Friday, November 15, 2024
TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced today that all 105 Kansas counties have successfully completed their post-election audit as required by state law.
“Counties have successfully completed their audit, affirming our commitment to a secure and trustworthy election process,” Schwab said.
The purpose of these audits is to verify that the hand count matches the vote count from the tabulation machines. Once each audit is completed, counties are required to submit their results to the Secretary of State’s office for final approval.
“I am deeply grateful to each of our election workers for their tireless effort and commitment to ensuring a smooth and secure voting process,” Schwab said.
