SCHWAB ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF SEDGWICK COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSIONER

TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab today announced the appointment of Angela Caudillo as Sedgwick County Election Commissioner.
“We are pleased to announce Angela Caudillo has been selected to serve as Sedgwick County Election Commissioner,” said Secretary Schwab. “Ms. Caudillo has an established relationship with Sedgwick County government and comes to the office with a strong background in local government operations and administrative management.”
Ms. Caudillo was born and raised in Sedgwick County. Prior to being named Sedgwick County Election Commissioner, Ms. Caudillo served as Administrative Manager in the Sedgwick County Clerk’s Office. She previously worked as Office Manager for the Sedgwick County Clerk’s Office and Operations Manager for COMCARE of Sedgwick County. Ms. Caudillo is a Certified County Clerk and a Kansas Leadership Center participant. Caudillo holds a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies from Wichita State University and an associate’s degree in General Studies from Butler County Community College. She also a graduate of the MiniMPA program at Wichita State University.
“Ms. Caudillo is a forward thinker with a proven ability to get things done,” said Schwab. “Her background in performance management, policy and procedure development, and experience in cultivating strategic relationships will provide Sedgwick County with continued safe and secure elections.”
A committee of representatives from Sedgwick County government and the Office of Secretary of State interviewed several candidates and forwarded their recommendations to Secretary Schwab. Upon interviewing the finalists and reviewing their qualifications, Secretary Schwab appointed Caudillo.
